OUR MISSION
Our mission is to enhance the lives of disadvantaged children, particularly girls residing in rural parts of India. We have joined forces with the Chaukia Vikas Parishad Trust, an entity dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished village families, empowering girls, as well as improving the conditions of the local school in the area. Our present emphasis is on aiding in the reconstruction of the school and ensuring that young girls can continue their education.

During the past year, I had the opportunity to visit the village in India where my father originated. My grandfather was born into a family of farmers in the rural areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Witnessing the modest beginnings of my ancestors touched my heart. I was deeply moved to see the school that my grandfather graduated and my father did his elementary schooling deteriorating. Being born into a privileged environment, I feel a deep sense of gratitude, and as a result, I have taken it upon myself to provide as much help as possible in rebuilding the school. In honor of my grandfathers memory, my goal is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the students and the community of my ancestors.

As a high school student, I am passionate about making a positive difference in the world. One cause that has particularly captured my heart is the need to improve girls' education in underprivileged communities. I firmly believe that education is a powerful tool for empowering every girl, and I want to be part of the solution. Volunteering to help enhance access to education for girls in impoverished areas is my way of contributing to a brighter future for these young minds and the communities they belong to. I am excited to partner with the non-profit organization in India & take on this meaningful journey.

SCHOOL HISTORY
The Chaukia Village is situated approximately 4 kilometers south of the banks of the Gomti River, near the original Ganga Mata. This Gvillage, sustaining a large population, is a melting pot of various religions and communities. Upon India gaining independence, the residents of the village promptly deduced through their knowledge and reasoning that ignorance and religious differences were the very reasons that had forced us into slavery for centuries. They realized that knowledge could be the guiding light, capable of destroying the darkness within our minds and making us global teachers once again.
Without worrying about resources, in the year 1950, the thoughtful and blessed individuals of the village, namely Shri Mahadev Singh, Shri Lalita Prasad Singh, Shri Talevant Singh, Shri Surya Bux Singh, Shri Vishwanath Singh, Shri Brijmohan Singh, Shri Kshtrapal Singh, residents of Gram Sabha Chaukia, discussed and deliberated with Shri Tribhuvan Datt Pandey, resident of Vaini, and Shri Rajbahadur Singh, resident of Parshurampur, to formulate a plan for the construction of an educational institution.
When these great personalities presented the plan for the construction of the school before the people of their village, the villagers assured their full support, endorsing this idea. The decision of where to establish the school was carefully considered to ensure that not only the village but also students from nearby villages could benefit from it. It was decided that the school should be established near the road for easy accessibility. As a result, the present location of Public Inter College Chaukia, under the open sky and vast expanse, witnessed the foundation of the school in 1951. Discussions about this initiative reached not only the surrounding villages but also distant areas, revealing that the people of Chaukia were establishing a school in their village, akin to an ancient Gurukul.
In accordance with tradition, the construction of the temple of education began by gathering bamboo, thatch, and bricks from the village. The process of imparting knowledge commenced with a selfless spirit, and people started contributing continuously to this endeavor. As a result, within a few days, several thatched classrooms were prepared for the students' studies. Consequently, this school, established under the open sky, started ascending the ladder of progress. Knowledgeable and dedicated teachers, having an affinity for education and the surrounding community, were willingly drawn to teach at this school.
The school not only conducted daytime classes but also provided knowledge in science and general life skills to students under the light of lanterns at night. Several teachers even resided within the school premises. About four years after its establishment, the foundation of five classrooms was laid, and as a result, educational spaces became available for students studying in thatched rooms. Through the relentless efforts of the villagers, by the year 1955, sufficient classrooms were made available near the school.
In 1951, the establishment of an association named "Public Educational Association Chaukia Sultanpur" took place. This association, unanimously formed by the founders, registered under the number 4618, applied for recognition from the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. After an examination by the board, the school met the standards for recognition, and in the year 1951, it obtained recognition from the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education in Allahabad. With the establishment of this trust and the recognition from the board, the school's development gained momentum, and the message spread across the region that "Public Inter College Chaukia" had become a recognized institution in the Lambhua Development Block of Chaukia, Sultanpur. The present school structure, erected in 1955, has consistently upheld its mission of imparting knowledge and nurturing high-caliber students throughout its more than 60-year history.
